Friends of Scarborough Marsh and Maine Audubon sponsor the cleanup in the spring and fall and dozens and dozens of people come out to help pick up trash and other debris that makes it way into the marsh.
We appreciate all the help in keeping this treasure of southern Maine cleaner and healthier. This year a group picked up trash along the roadside on Black Point Road, in addition to Pine Point Road and Route 1.
The huge pile of large, black trash bags were hauled away by the town.
Thanks and we hope to see you again in the spring.
